Bahrain Performance Round table 31th Jan- 2021

At 31st Jan, 2021 , Internet Society Bahrain Chapter and BTECH have organized  Bahrain Internet Performance which is a virtual roundtable that focused on improving the service quality of the internet in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The aim of the Virtual Roundtable’s was to highlight the key issues that are facing the Telecommunication industry that acts as a burden stopping Bahrain from moving on fir a higher ranking in terms of the quality service of internet, it also aimed to gather the industry’s key decision-makers to generate better solutions and recommendations. And as we know how Bahrain and all the world units are depending heavily on the internet to perform their regular day-to-day tasks, it is time to take stronger actions to move Bahrain’s Internet performance forward. The round table ended up with very important recommendations that will be followed up by a steering committee .

Internet society Bahrain Chapter at Bahrain pavilion - GITEX 2020 [6-10 Dec ,2020]

nternet society Bahrain Chapter has participated at Bahrain pavilion – GITEX 2020, with 24 companies from large, medium, and emerging companies. Bahrain pavilion was able to participate this year despite the difficulties imposed by the Corona pandemic, thanks to the support and participation provided by the Labor Market Fund (Tamkeen), in addition to the strategic participation in the activities of the pavilion.

 

ME chapters workshops 23 Oct 2020

Bahrain Chapter participant in the 2020 Middle East Chapters workshop. The workshop objectives were Connect, motivate and strengthen our chapters.
Share knowledge and experience between Chapter representatives and Internet Society Staff.
Engage Chapter leaders and members in the Internet Society’ s 2020/2021 project work.
Support Chapters in turning the 2020 projects into local concrete, implementable activities.

ME chapters workshop preparation meeting 24th Sep 2020

Bahrain chapter participated at ME Chapters regional call which included  presentation about recent events and activities, also discussed Community consultation dashboard and Chapters 2020 Evaluation.

 

Virtual Bahrain 15&16 Sep 2020

Bahrain chapter was partner in Virtual Bahrain 2020 conference and Exhibition , the key topics at this conference were related to the post-Corona digital transformation, such as the continuity of education thanks to eLearning, rapid primary digital health response, and how to digitally manage the supply and demand for food products. In addition, it reviewed the opportunities for the digital transformation of commercial activities, the safety of cashless transactions, cyber threats, and real-time modern media coverage.
